Pondering

With all of the different strains we have I have always wondered if white, green, and red are made by when the plant is harvested, like with cannabis. Harvested early, aka white produces more of an energetic feeling. Green is more middle of the road, and red is when the plant is harvested late. I’m pretty sure, but correct me if I’m wrong that time of harvest produces the different effects and the color of the leaves. We know this is true with cannabis and I have always wondered if the same applied to our cherished plant. It’s pleasure to meet all of you and I look forward to having conversations with all of you!

Can one of you fine people please explain to me how the “like” system works? I was trying to to like one of my fellow members post, but it flicks white for a second and doesn’t let me. I feel like I am doing something wrong but can’t figure it out. Thanks in advance.
I think you're right when it comes to what the colors mean. I'm also wondering if all colors mostly provide the same effects, since they're all the same plant, anyway, just like with red it's more sedating and green is more energizing. I've been using green and white in place of red, since I ran out recently, and it's been fine. I mostly use it for pain and relaxation.
Welcome! It’s a common mix-up, but unlike cannabis, kratom colors actually come from the drying process rather than harvest timing. Whites are dried indoors, greens have a mix of indoor/outdoor time, and reds undergo fermentation or long sun exposure. It’s all about how those alkaloids are "cured" after picking! Peace
I agree! I have adhd, ptsd, mdd(major depressive disorder), and sleep apnea. No kratom nessessarly makes me sleepy, whites kinda make me little drowsy. I love blending different strains(full spectrum) like! Good review tho, my ban is almost up,Saturday or Sunday I'll be back(Glum-sheepherder4101) back with more reviews, have to get caught up on them, got more kratom in. Have a blessed one!
Yeah I’ve wondered that too before, especially since the “white/green/red” labels make it feel like it’s all just harvest timing like cannabis. From what I’ve read though, it doesn’t seem to be only about when it’s picked. It’s more a mix of things like how it’s dried, fermented/aged, and processed after harvest that really shifts the color and the vibe.
The red stuff especially seems like it gets more of that extended drying/oxidation, which might explain why it feels more mellow compared to whites. But honestly the whole system isn’t super standardized, so different vendors can mean slightly different things when they label strains.
