Kanna

I have come across kanna while researching stuff on google but never have tried it. If it makes you feel like when you use cannabis then it wouldn't be for me. I do not like the effects of cannabis.

It's probably not for you then. I feel it can cause more anxiety and paranoia than cannabis. If you do decide to try make sure your dose is super low .1 gram or less.

What does kanna mainly used for?

I cant feel it. At least, if I got real stuff I really thought it was like chocolate

Amazing Botanicals has Kanna 200X Extract Tablets

I've tried one tablet and it was a profoundly strong, euphoric, and relaxing experience.

Wow I did not know. I'd definitely like to try it. I've only had regular old kanna smoker's cut. I'd love to try an extract.

Very cool they have tablets available!

Kanna contains mesembrine and related alkaloids mesembrenone and tortuosamine, which act as serotonin reuptake inhibitors and PDE4 inhibitors, and possibly cannabinoid agonists and acetylcholinesterase inhbitors. Plus possible VMAT2 upregulation/monoamine releaser activity. Sort of weird, but popular in some parts of the world.

Growing some but It's not going super well. Apparently it takes a couple years to grow them sufficiently, and there is a fermentation process needed to make the plant usable.

I have been wanting to try Kanna for years but I take 60 mg of Prozac a day. So I am scared that I would get Serotonin Syndrome if I mixed the 2 Together. Any advice on if I should or should not try Kanna while using Prozac?

Yes, ive read it is not good to mix kanna and prozac. Like you said it could potentially cause serotonin syndrome. Normally it is a very safe herbal but that type of pharmaceutical should not be mixed

I Thought so that's why I've never tried it. I can't take things like Gingko Biloba, 5-htp or Saint John's Wort because of Interactions with Prozac. Just better to be Careful & do some Research on things like this.
